ICEC Markhaz Jummah prayer slot booking announcement for 24th July 2020

Due to the Covid-19 Social Distancing guidelines set by the UK Government the experience at Jummah will be different to what you are used to.

Due to the restrictions in place there is going to be limited space available during Jummah so we have decided that we will be holding two Jummah Prayer sessions.

Unfortunately at this time we cannot accommodate the sisters, please accept our sincere apologies for this.

You will have to book a Prayer slot. We only have the capacity to accommodate 45 worshippers during each Prayer (so 90 in total).

The first Jummah Jammat time will be at 1.45pm. Doors to the Markhaz will open at 1.30pm. Please try not to arrive before 1.25pm. Khutbah will last a maximum of 10 minutes. The Khutbah will be delivered by Sheikh Idrees in English.

The second Jummah Jammat will be at 2.15pm. Doors to the Markhaz will open at 2.00pm. Please try not to arrive before 1.55pm. Again the Khutbah will last a maximum of 10 minutes. This Khutbah will be delivered by Brother Yusuf in Arabic.

Please book your Jummah Prayer slot by SMS texting your FULL NAME and your TIME SLOT preference to 0784 167 6193. This is on a first come first serve basis. If you are successful in booking a slot you will receive a text back confirming your booking. Please ensure you have booked your slot by 11.59pm on Thursday 23rd July.

If you are successful in booking a slot, please make sure that you attend Jummah only for the time slot you have booked.

Please ensure you have a FACE MASK. Also bring your own PRAYER MAT and a BAG to put your shoes in as you will need to keep your shoes with you at all times. Please ensure that you perform your Wudu at home as the Wudu and Toilet facilities at the Markhaz are closed.

Your temperature will be checked before you are allowed entry to the Markhaz. If it is higher than 37.8 degrees celsius then you will be refused entry.

Ensure you use the Sanitisation equipment provided on arrival and exit of the Markhaz.

Sunnah & Nawafil are to be performed at home.

We will be operating a one-way system on the day. The team on site will direct you to the entry and exit points.
