ICEC Markhaz 5x Daily Prayers re-opening update!
Alhamdullilah! The Trustees and Management team at the Islamic Community & Education Centre (ICEC), Lye have taken the decision to open the Markhaz back up again for the 5x Daily Salah prayers from Asr Salah on Friday 17th July 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 Social Distancing guidelines set by the UK Government the experience at the Markhaz will be different to what you are used to.
Due to the restrictions in place there is going to be limited space available during Salah. You will not have to book a Prayer slot but please be aware that we only have the capacity to accommodate 45 worshippers during each Prayer. Nothing to worry about as this is well within the maximum attendees we have historically had for the daily prayers. A revised Salah timetable will be issued shortly updated with the Jammat times.
Unfortunately at this time we cannot accommodate the sisters, please accept our sincere apologies for this.
For each Salah the door at the Markhaz will open 10 minutes before the Jammat time. As soon as the Jammat commences the doors to the Markhaz will be closed. Please do not arrive too early to the prayers as you will not be allowed to enter.
As with the Jummah prayer, please ensure you have a FACE MASK. Also bring your own PRAYER MAT and a CARRIER BAG to put your shoes in as you will need to keep your shoes with you at all times. Please ensure that you perform your Wudu at home as the Wudu and Toilet facilities at the Markhaz are closed.
Your temperature will be checked before you are allowed entry to the Markhaz. If it is higher than 37.8 degrees celsius you will be refused entry.
Ensure you use the Sanitisation equipment provided on arrival and on exiting the Markhaz.
We also have to keep a record of all attendees to the Markhaz so you will need to complete the details on the form at the Markhaz each time you come to pray.
The information you provide will be retained for a period of 21 days. If during this time we are alerted to any instances of attendees to the Markhaz having being tested positive for Covid-19, your contact information may be shared with the NHS Test and Trace Service, Public Health England and/or Dudley Council’s Public Health Trust to assist with the NHS Test and Trace process and the management of any local outbreaks.
We will not use this information for any other purpose and by providing your information you are consenting for us to share this with the organisations listed above if necessary. These organisations will process this information in accordance with Article 6 of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR): ‘Processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest’.
